Privacy Policy

Last updated June 14, 2026

Korva is built so that your documents never leave your computer. There is no server to send them to. This page explains exactly what that means.

The short version: Your documents stay on your computer — no accounts, no cloud, no tracking, no telemetry. The app only reaches the internet to activate your licence once and to check for updates; neither ever uploads your files. The free web converter runs entirely in your browser; your files are never uploaded. This website sets no cookies and runs no analytics. The only personal data we ever hold is the name and email tied to a purchase, and even that is collected by our payment provider, not us.

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers the Korva desktop app, the free browser-based .pub → PDF converter, and this website (korva.korsund.com). “We”, “us” and “Korva” refer to the maker of Korva.

2. The Korva desktop app

The app does its work entirely on your own machine. Concretely:

  • No telemetry. The importer, editor and PDF export never contact a server, and your documents never leave your machine. Korva makes only two kinds of outbound request, both unrelated to your files and described below: a one-time licence activation and a check for app updates. There is no analytics and no “phone-home”.
  • No accounts. You don’t sign in. There is no user profile and nothing to log in to.
  • No cloud, no sync. Your .pub, .pwl and exported PDF files are read from and written to your local disk only.
  • App updates. On launch Korva checks a public release feed for a newer signed version and can download and install it. These requests send no personal data and never upload your documents.
  • One-time online activation. When you enter your licence key, Korva sends a single request to Lemon Squeezy’s licensing API containing only the key and a device label — never your documents. After activation the app runs locally and only re-checks the key when it’s online. See the Terms of Service for the licence itself.

Because there is no server, we have no technical ability to see, collect, or recover your documents.

3. The free web converter

The browser-based converter is compiled to WebAssembly and runs entirely client-side. When you open a .pub file and export a PDF:

  • Your file is processed in your browser tab. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
  • A short list of your recent files may be cached in your browser’s localStorage so you can reopen them quickly. This stays on your device, is capped in size, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. We cannot read it.

4. This website

This marketing site is intentionally minimal:

  • No cookies. We set none.
  • No analytics or trackers. No Google Analytics, no pixels, no tracking scripts. The only third-party script is Lemon Squeezy’s checkout helper, which loads the secure checkout when you click Buy; it sets no advertising cookies and does no analytics.
  • Self-hosted fonts. Fonts are served from this domain, so no request is made to a third-party font provider.
  • Hosting logs. The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare may process standard request data (such as IP address and user-agent) transiently to serve the page and protect against abuse, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy. We do not receive or store this data ourselves.

5. Buying Korva

Checkout is handled by Lemon Squeezy (lemonsqueezy.com), our Merchant of Record, acting as the seller of record. When you purchase a licence:

  • Your payment details (card number, billing address) are entered with and held by that provider. We never see or store your card information.
  • We receive only what is needed to issue and support your licence — typically your name and email address, and your order reference.
  • Your licence key is generated and emailed to you by Lemon Squeezy (and shown on your Lemon Squeezy order page). You activate it in the app over a single online request to Lemon Squeezy. The only time your key reaches us is if you use the licence reset page to move to a new computer — we pass it straight to Lemon Squeezy to free your activations and never store it.

Please review your payment provider’s own privacy policy for how they handle checkout data and tax information.

6. Email you send us

If you email us for support, we’ll see your message and email address and keep it only as long as needed to help you. We don’t use it for marketing without your consent.

7. Children

Korva is a tool for general audiences and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data a business holds about you. Because we hold so little — essentially the name and email attached to a purchase — such requests are simple. Email unclegrape1975@gmail.com and we’ll help.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change how Korva handles data, we’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
