Pages and layout

Add and reorder pages, page size, guides, master pages, page numbers and colour schemes.

  1. How do I add, delete or reorder pages? Click + at the top of the Pages panel to add a blank page after the one you're on, or use Insert, then Add Page (⌘⇧NCtrl+Shift+N) to add several or copy a page. To reorder, drag a page thumbnail up or down. To delete, right-click a thumbnail and choose Delete Page.
  2. How do I change the page size or orientation? Click Page Design, then Size and click the size you want, such as Letter, A4 or Postcard, or type a width and height under Custom size and click Apply custom size. Page Design, then Orientation turns the pages between portrait and landscape. Everything on the pages moves and resizes with them.
  3. How do I set margins, guides and snapping? Click Page Design, then Margins to pick None, Narrow, Normal or Wide, or type your own. Page Design, then Guides adds column and row guides, and you can drag a ruler guide out of either ruler. Objects snap to the page edges and center, to other objects, and to any guides you can see.
  4. How do I use master pages? Click Page Design, then Master Pages, tick Running header, Footer and Page numbers, fill in the text and click Apply to all pages. To put your own design on every page, build it on a page and click Save page as master. Master pages need Korva Pro. Korva Pro
  5. How do I add page numbers and sections? Click Insert, then Page Number (⌥⇧PAlt+Shift+P). Korva puts a page number at the foot of every page, and each page shows its own number. To number some pages i, ii, iii or start again at 1, go to the first page of that part and click Insert, then Section….
  6. How do I change the color scheme or page background? On the Page Design tab, click one of the Color scheme swatches to recolor the whole publication, or + to make your own. Page Color sets the background color of the page you're on, and Background offers soft tints and gradients for one page or all of them.
  7. How do I align, group and layer objects? Shift-click the objects to select them, then use the Arrange tab. Align lines up their edges or centers, Distribute spaces three or more evenly, Group (⌘⇧GCtrl+Shift+G) makes them move as one, and Bring to Front or Send to Back sets which one is on top.
